Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa with a height of 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). The mountain’s main peak, Uhuru, is on the rim of one of the mountain's three volcanic cones. The two shorter cones, Shira and Mawenzi, are extinct and have a more subdued physical appearance compared to the tallest cone, Kibo. Kibo reaches to the skies in a clear conical shape, with its rocky top streaked white with snow. Unlike Shira and Mawenzi, Kibo is dormant and not extinct.
